Here\u2019s how you know you\u2019re ready to let a <\/span>rental home<span class=\"\">\u00a0go.<\/span><\/p><h4>Sell When You Can\u2019t Rent<\/h4><p><span class=\"\">Has the neighborhood changed since you bought the <\/span>investment property? Maybe tenants are not interested in renting it because the surrounding area has become largely commercial or industrial. Perhaps you\u2019re trying to rent out a unit in a building that has really deteriorated or is attracting difficult neighbors. Traffic and parking could be nightmares.\u00a0<\/p><p>Sell the property when you\u2019ve stopped being able to attract and retain great tenants. You are looking to hold the properties that increase the size and strength of your real estate portfolio.\u00a0<\/p><h4>Sell When the Risks Do Not Outweigh the Rewards<\/h4><p>All investments are risky to some extent. Real estate investments, however, should be fairly low-risk, and they should help you hedge against inflation.
